Created in His Image. Created for His Glory.

 Sometimes we need grounding. So why not return to the ground.

“But now, O Lord, you are our father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
Isaiah 64:8

Man came from the dirt.

It’s easy to read this verse in Isaiah and think of it as an analogy. But it’s not. God literally made man out of clay. He formed him from soil and breath. And even more amazing, He chose to make man in His image. He gave us identity and a mind for eternity.

When I need grounding, I find my way back to the Potter’s hands. I remember I came from the clay, created in His image and for His glory.

I worship the great Creator from the ground He built me from, as He forms and shapes me into an instrument worthy of His glory.
